First of all, sorry for my english, but here's something I want to share with you guys.
I've always had struggle with getting my mix sound good on a mono device (in my case a bluetooth box). So I finally searched for a solution this afternoon and seems like I found it.
Mix in Mono, Export in Stereo
I have no idea if this is common producer knowledge here, but it just fixed my problem. This is the video I watched to realise my new "golden rule": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY1fp4bfiuM
Its sadly in german, but I guess there's an equivalent video out there in english. It's basically saying, that a mix, that works in mono, will always also work in stereo - but not the other way round.
Don't get me wrong, I just produce for fun in my bedroom, and I'm nowhere near to theoretical music production knowledge. Just wanted to share it to you guys, since I guess, that not everybody in here is aware of this.
So, do you have even more tips on making tracks sound dope in mono?
Have a great evening! :)
