For anyone that uses splice for samples, what method do you use to organize. So I've been using splice now for a few months and I've downloaded about 20 or so samples. I really like the "Splice App" (I have Mac, I don't know how this works on windows.) So whenever I download a sample, the splice app takes over this action and places the sample file into a new folder made specifically from the sound pack that the sample came from on Splice. I love this feature as it saves me time of having to move the file from the downloads folder into my usual organization of samples.
The problem? Like I said, I've downloaded about 20 samples, that's really quite few when you consider I have enough credit for several hundred. So the problem is that it's HYPER organized... so my drop down in my DAW when I'm looking for samples looks something like this... Splice
Samples
pack name (There will be one of these for each sample pack borrwed, so it's stupid long.)
type of sample (One of these for each type of sample)
List of samples.
It's something to that extent, there may even be more, I can't quite remember, but it becomes a messy progress and is more tedious than ever. My initial dropdown has about 10-12 different pack names, and I have to click another 3 times just to get to 1 sample. And then every time we download a new sample it's thrown into a mix of pack names, so you have to pay more attention than you should have to when you're downloading your samples... and we likely download several at a time.
tl;dr - Splice's native method of organizing downloaded samples sucks, can we customize that feature? Or should I just manually download my samples and self organize. Thoughts?
