This is a weird issue I have had, playing with stuff i always end up solving it but sometimes the bass just sounds a bit offkey (it obviously isn't, I have checked every pitch-related thing and it isn't), it's not super obvious like it would be if it actually was offkey but it doesn't feel completely right and in key..
Edit: to elaborate a bit on this, this usually happens when I make progressive trance or festival progressive house, I have huge chords with a bass layered below them... when I get it to sound good and properly synced it can sound amazing (it's not mine but here's an example: https://soundcloud.com/enhancedprogressive/sets/noise-zoo-namibia-flare-ep), but sometimes... idk? it just doesn't fit in with the chords.
