So this isn't exactly for this sub but I think a good amount of the people from r/edmproduction do post their music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp and such.
What is the catch with record labels that follow you along with a message saying "Hey you should submit your track to us. It will get you great exposure!"?
Recently this user (bot?) followed me and I checked their website and seemed simple enough so I'm tempted to send in my tracks.
I feel like maybe theirs a whole contract behind the scenes that just takes all my rights to the track away, I really don't have a clue.
What is r/edmproduction analysis on these "labels"?
and if these "labels" are proven to be frauds, where should a producer start in terms of releasing their music?
Thanks in advance and happy producing to you all.
