please forgive the noobness ahead.
so i just got this email today regarding something i just posted on my soundcloud that looks very spammy and i just want some feedback on how spammy it really is.
it goes like:
Hey,
I just checked out your new track, zedd & dua lipa - get low x new rules (mashup) and thought it sounded great.
Would you be interested in trying our music advertising platform - used by thousands of top artists - to get your new material on today's best sites?
Here's an example of how your song would look promoted on Hype Machine, one of the sites on our network:

now forgive me if the following if this whole post isn't "EDM production"-related enough, but here are some things to take into this.
one, it's sent from a "real" person, not a business, and it's trying to masquerade as a hypemachine email.
two, the email is from "someone" at wavo.fm, which for anyone reading that doesn't know what wavo.fm is, is a music promoting agency that can display your music on website ads. not once does the email mention wavo. (also, wavo.fm redirects to wavo.me.)
third, it said in the details that it was delivered VIA sendgrid.net. now i have never heard of sendgrid in my life, and i don't know anything about their legitimacy history.
and fourth (the big one), this wasn't even about an original song. it's a mashup.
feedback's greatly appreciated. thx in advance :)
