NOTE
I do not advocate developing a dependency on presets. This is just a useful tip, especially for newer producers.
That being said, basically all I'm saying is don't be afraid to not use a preset that was intended for another genre in your track that's not that genre.
I wanted to dabble a bit more in Happy Hardcore. There's not a huge amount of presets out there for this genre like Big Room or Melbourne Bounce. I noticed a lot of the synths used in Happy Hardcore were actually VERY similar to the synths used in Melbourne Bounce. (Especially the basses.)
I searched up Melbourne Bounce presets. Sure enough the leads and basses pretty much work the same way and don't sound too out of place. Just use your ear.
Again, I don't advise to develop a huge dependency on presets. I've made Hardcore-esque tracks completely from scratch before. (Minus drum samples of course.) What I am saying is to use your resources and don't think you can't use a preset from another genre just because it says it's supposed to be for X genre.
