So I'm just beginning to learn music production, and while I do want to make stuff like future bass I also really want to focus on more atmospheric music, kind of like game OSTs and such. So I feel like learning piano would probably help a lot. However, I've tried learning piano before and I think the hardest part for me was coordinating both hands together. Now I'm wondering if I should even focus on that, because I feel like most midi keyboards producers use are 1-handed anyways, and most videos I've seen of producers only involve 1-handed play (even people like FKJ). What do you guys think? Should I just get a 1-handed midi keyboard and jump into production ASAP, or get a full keyboard and start with traditional piano lessons, or something else entirely?
