I want to create a drum & bass style beat which is featured in this song: Emeli Sande - Heaven. I done a little digging and I can see the producer used a sample from James Brown Funky Drummer. I want to recreate this pattern and then play with it in Logic Pro X. I don't want to use the sample because I want to try different drums/snares etc. This is the sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoQ4AtsFWVM&t=320s I cannot find the midi for this sample anywhere and I can hear this style in so many drum & bass tracks... this is what I have so far: https://imgur.com/a/6XH4x what I'm struggling is the end part where it's quite fast and seems like the snare is a bitt different... any thoughts whether this is possible to recreate or even approach in midi form? Thanks in advance!
