So I understand that the I, IV, and V chords are major and the rest are minor in a scale like C major, so if I hear a song with a progression C - F - C - G - C I could guess that it's in C major. However, how do I begin to understand what key a song is in when it goes past major/minor/dominant seventh chords? When I look at a progression like Em7, Cadd9, G, D, what key might that be in and how do I know? What about chords like A5 and G5? Thank you!
