MIXING TOPIC: If I send out a track for a professional mixing, does widening a sound in the stereo field compromise the professional's mixing process?

I'm sorry if butchered the wording for the title. But basically I'm trying to say if it's my job to worry about placing sounds in the stereo field (for example placing the sub in the center or synth sounds on the outer ends) or is the professional mixer's job to handle it.
