I ask because the only "big boy" synth I own is Massive, and I use it for dang near everything that's not a sample. The reason I'm not planning on buying another big plugin anytime soon is because it seems to me that Massive can do everything I could want it to do. I don't see any case in which I'd be like "man I really wish I had Serum or Harmor because it would be way better than Massive in this case"
My question(s) is: if you own more than one of the big name softsynths, how do you decide which one to use when it's time for a new sound in your song? Why should I buy more than one of them?
