Hi guys! :)
You can skip this section and jump right to the next paragraph for the questions
(-----------------------------) Long story short: I've been making music on and off (with emphasis on off) for many years, but probably only have the skill of someone who has been doing this for.. 6 months? This is because i somehow got stuck on the intro's due to the fact that i was never satisfied with my work, thus not being able to continue over to other parts of the songs. However, the last couple of months i found out that this is what i want to do the rest of my life, and i've finally been able to make something that resembles a finished product. The only part missing is the vocals. I've been watching the remix competitions sites that i know off, but there's never a suited vocal for me there. That's why i want to make my own. My setup is an SM58 microphone (i know it's for live performances, but i don't have anything else available at the moment), some dunes and a reflection filter. (--------------------------)
Now on to the real question:
Does anyone have any tips or know of a good site where i can learn how to write good vocal melodies?
Does anyone know of any good tutorials for mixing vocals (and mixing in general, i'm new to that as well)?
Sorry for the long backstory, but i think it helps give a better understanding of my situation. Thank you for replies in advance!
