And what I mean by that is that a good sound engineer does not necessarily make a good artist. We are all called to be artists. Our instrument is the best one in the entire world, a computer.
So once in a while, forget about all the millions of tutorial videos on the internet. Forget about all the million plugins. Forget about other people that force their musical or technical opinions on you. The reason you are here is because your ears are better then the people that don't make music. You have good taste in music! The life or a musical artist starts with an instrument. Now our instrument, the computer is a little overwhelming at first. It has unlimited functions and upgrade capabilities. When you have a computer you don't have to take violin lessons for 3 years just so you can play something on tune on a violin.
Basically what I am saying is that you should see your computer as a instrument. Stop talking about how you are going to make love with your computer, letting her know you are going to use that tool and this tool ... and then never making love with her!
So go make some love with your computer and forget about all her other lovers. They all love her differently. Do your own thing, fall madly in love and let nothing come in between that love.
