Hey guys,
I just recorded some vocals over a song I produced. When I recorded the vocals, I just bounced the instrumental to a .wav, and opened a new FL project, imported that .wav file, and recorded into that new project. Now I've moved all the vocal recordings to a folder, but while I was recording the vocals, I figured I could do all the processing (Compession, eq, reverb, etc) in the project file with the .wav instrumental, export the final vocals, import them to the old project file, do some more mixing, and export.
I could even finish processing the vocal and bounce the entire track (instrumental and vocal) to audio and then master. Which way should I do it and why?
bonus question: any tips on processing vocals? Thanks!
Edit: clarity
