Okay so the title may be kind of hard to understand... Ive been playing around with FL studio a ton, watching tutorials, music theory, etc., and my favorite genre is Future Bass. This is a heavily groove, melody and layer based genre - but I have a ridiculously hard time telling if each specific layer sounds good when I'm making it or what it needs, etc. I guess perhaps I don't quite understand the duty of every piece of the puzzle, such as arp lead pad etc. is there anything someone could point me to that helps or will just practice improve this?
