A very common tip around here is to high pass basically everything besides your bass/sub/kick whatever.
Whenever I download stems, every stem always has tons of low frequency content. And when put together, the whole song is well into the red in the master.
So my question is this: when stems are released, are they usually eq'd (or not eq'd) to sound good and full on their own instead of in the context of the whole track?
