Hey, sort-of-noob here. I know a lot about music and I'm an experienced DJ, but I'm relatively new to producing.
I have two questions:
The first question is, why is everything I produce so quiet, and how do I alleviate this? When I'm mastering, I always have to turn everything down so it doesn't clip (understandable), but the result is that my final mix is very quiet and I have to turn my headphones up to hear it in its final version. I don't want my listeners to have to do this, so how do I alleviate this problem?
Second: How do I sidechain in Logic Pro X? I've seen several methods of sidechaining in my work with Ardour and LMMS, both of which use different methods (LMMS is super easy; Ardour uses some weird bus magic). How do you do it in Logic Pro X?
Thanks for the help!
