So I have this long jazzy/funky sample which I have paired nicely with a liquid drum & bass beat and some light retro vinyl fx. I like the vibe of the track but it's too repetitive. So I'm experimenting chopping the sample up and applying different effects to give the track distinct sections. So far I have managed to get a nice 1 bar riser envelope which sounds like it's going a bit backwards which works well as a build. I still new to production but can anyone offer some cool ways to spice up a heavily sampled/repetitive track? Thanks in advance. I'm using Logic Pro X if that helps.
