Yo, 'sup!
Just wanted to pop in and say that a new version of SunVox is now released! Grab it here!
For those who don't know what it is, SunVox is an excellent, extremely cross-platform, lightweight tracker-styled DAW. It doesn't have VST support, but it's very capable nonetheless, featuring a nice spread of different synths and effects. This last update was pretty focused on improving the sampling capability, adding the ability to place effects inside of samplers to control their parameters via sampler envelopes.
For listening to the kind of music that can be made with SunVox, check out the SunVox SoundCloud account, which features a wide variety of artists making lots of different kinds of music using the program.
If you're interested in learning how to use SunVox, check out my video tutorial series on YouTube - the videos started quite awhile ago, so the quality starts off kinda poor. It works its way up over time, though. The interface has also changed a bit over time, but not too much.
I personally have been making music for years with SunVox, and have yet to reach the edge of this wonderful program. You can find some of my music on that same SoundCloud account (and, of course, on my own SoundCloud account, which I won't link here, haha).
Anyway, thanks for reading!
