So here is what I gathered so far;
I have an alesis qx keyboard and the pads are unusable. So I happen to have this mpd32 from a friend and it's a different universe. However, and even after months of getting used to it, I still think they could be more responsive for my taste, so I learned that there are these rubber mats you can buy and put under the actual pads to make them more responsive but since it's not my own mpd I don't really want to try it.
Akai don't use the same pads for all their stuff, how do I know which pads are which? are the grey ones all the same? Mpc pads are different, right? are they more responsive?
Would an mpd with said rubber mats be my solution? Or is there a different controller you would recommend?
It's really hard to find reliable information on how easily different pad controllers trigger etc..
