Hey there,
So i was participating on a Spinnin Records remix competition, mostly for fun, and as i wanted to enter for judging i had to upload the track to soundcloud. I didn‘t activate the downloads or anything, it was just the blank remix, like the 500 other participants did it aswell. Now it got reported by some other strange Copyright owner and it got taken down, plus i got a strike on soundcloud (3 strikes equals account deleted)
I‘m just wondering, is this how it works with these contests? You make a remix and if it‘s still published after the contest is over it gets reported immediately and taken down? How did i break the rules in any way? If i didn‘t have to upload it on SC i wouldn‘t have done it at all. Usually you expect a lot of remixes on soundcloud if you give out stems on public, i guess...?
Anyone else experiences?
