Been listening to a lot of nghtmare type stuff lately. Seems like most of his sounds and pretty basic but with added sampling but mostly distortion to give it a little bite. I read a lot about ohmicide and izotope and am wondering if they are worth the money and suitable for the purposes I'm intending to use them for.

At around 1:10 that grow is pretty simple to make. The "flavor" part of it seems to be the distortion that gives it the bite. Would these plug ins do that?
For reference: I do have experiencing producing for about 3-4 years but mostly hip hop.
