So I have this chord progression that's IV V vi I6. Each chord takes one bar, and it's a 4 bar loop.
My melody goes "Do So Ti Ti (Ti under Do) Do" (like C4 G4 B3 B3 C4) and kinda repeats.
If you guys play this, it sounds really cool. I mean I've got lots of side chaining and gating going on too, but I like this. The low "Ti" really creates a lot of tension that makes each bar in the progression kinda pull towards the next one, eventually looping back to IV chord.
I hope that makes sense.. I just feel like a music theory thread with actual music theory in it would be cool. Lots of people ask theory questions on here, but it doesn't ever seem like we have a EDM focused theory thread. I think a thread full of cool ideas would be great.
What are some cool things you guys like?
