I apologise if this has been or is posted often. I'm 21 and my only activities are academics/work/gym. I've ceased playing games and wasting time in general so wish to fill the void with music.
I've really wanted to learn acoustic guitar or the piano since I was 15 but was never really aided in doing that. Now I'm 21 and I can finance lessons/equipment I'm really keen on starting.
Now before I get into it, I want to question the feasibility. One of my musically inclined teachers said that you will get competent but never become great. Is this really the case if you start this late? I don't aspire to become great (although I should), but just enough where I can slowly but surely get better.
Thanks
