I use Logic Pro X. I've been told a good "mix" makes mastering easy. What defines a "good mix"? I've read up about mastering and people say to use adlimit/ limiter/ compressor/ multipressor/ eq. What should I use to get my mix to 0db and sound "loud" yet clean? What is the most important thing to increase the track volume from -4db to 0db? I compared my mastered track to a reference track, but the reference track is noticeably louder than my track, even though both tracks are hitting 0db.
