Hey all, so imagine you have a sweet drum tom/percussion/snare sample, and you really like it but it's starting to sound a bit repetitive or overused in your track.
Or maybe you want to turn a tom into a type of drum fill but there's only one tom that you actually like the sound of so you can't just choose other samples to go with it .. but you really want to make a fill out of it.
What are your favourite ways to tweak or change the timbre of that sample, to help spice things up a bit? I'm thinking like, transposing the sample (always seems to make cool new variations on the existing sound), or maybe adding some reverb to it- or even reversing it for something totally new?
Anyone got any sweet tips and tricks?
