Any thoughts on songwriting, as it pertains to keeping one consistent vibe/motif across an entire track?
Maybe this seems like a noob question, but after years I find the technical aspect of production is no longer particularly hard - but I still have trouble bringing it all together as one consistent idea from start to finish, while having sufficient variety. Which results in some combination of:
-
disjoint sections that sound good on their own,
-
unsatisfying transitions,
-
songs that overall are hard to follow, or
-
a harder drop and a big melodic breakdown that don't really mesh, etc.
How do you solve these problems in your own work? Cheers!
