Ok so I've been learning how to make various kinds of dance music for the last month and I just started to use panning (shocker right?!). Anyways, every time I pan my lead synths to make the sound "wider", it sounds a little odd. Any advice on how much I should be panning my leads or other instruments? Also, I've noticed that instruments are barely panned full right or left in dance music. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Some people have also said that it would be better to duplicate my leads and hard pan each left and right to create a wider sound.
