Hi guys! So, 3 months ago I was looking for samples on looperman (yes) and after a long search, I found a good one. Made a beat with it, uploaded it to my soundcloud, everything was fine.
A few hours ago I decided to upload it to my youtube, and right after the upload I got a copyright claim from a random brand for the sample.
To clear things up: yes, my beat is for sale, but there is no exclusive license and if people wants to download it for free (with my voicetag) they can. Looperman samples are 100% royalty free, and you can't get a copyright claim for the sample itself, only if you use someone's composition over the sample.
But the problem is that "The Ultra Lancers" (the random brand) is claiming copyright on my beat, when in fact, they just put the sample in their "song" without even mapulating it.
How can I approach this situation? In my opinion they are trying to monetize other people's videos as if the sample is theirs.
