I look at them and nothing makes sense to me. It’s like looking at a foreign language without knowing the alphabet. I tried to learn the alphabet, so to speak. I bought baby books and watched YouTube tutorials, but the whole concept doesn’t click. I’m a generally smartish person. So, this is driving me crazy. I want to learn because I absolutely love music and would love to play. Specifically the piano and maybe the violin or cello. But if I cannot read or understand notes or speeds, I’m assuming this means I might have a learning disability of some sort? Or that my drean if learning music (at an old age) is dead? Anyone had this problem and had a good fix for it? I have a Yamaha keyboard at home so I can practice, willing to put in the effort, just point me in the right direction. Eventually, I will hire a teacher, I am looking at a free solution for now if possible. Thank you!
