When does an electronic music producer cross the threshold from being an underground producer to an above ground/mainstream producer?

I'm thinking in terms of a social media following, on average, across all major social media platforms for electronic music producers (facebook, Instagram, Twitter, soundcloud, Spotify);

At what number does a producer change from underground to aboveground?

Is it 30k? 50k? 100k? 500k?
