Hello EDMProd community,
My sister and I are building a music studio to catalyze our various projects and recently invested in a pair of Tannoy Reveal 502 reference monitors. They've been working like a dream and have been a paradigm shift in my production and mixing experience.
However, today as I was working on a song I'm writing one of them made a subtle popping noise and lost all power. When I toggle the on off switch, there is zero response and the blue indicator LED on the back doesn't light up.
To be safe to the monitors and my eardrums, I have only ever given them 25% of their overall output power, and of that 25% rarely boost my master gain on my (Scarlett 2i2) audio interface past even 75%. I can't imagine that it was my use of them that caused this to happen and suspect that it's an internal electronics problem caused by some sort of manufacturing defect.
Any suggestions? I'm going to call the music store we bought them at tomorrow for help/possibly contact Tannoy if I have to, but thought I'd run it by the community as well.
