Hi, my question is not really about EDM, but I thought someone here should have the answer to this. On Windows, you can (IIRC) duplicate a .vst so that you can launch two instances of the same VST, each with their own memory space. On Mac, if you duplicate a .component or .vst, the DAW still lists one plugin, not two. I can launch multiple instances but they are all in the same memory space (instruments loaded into RAM will be available in each instance of that VST).
The reason I ask this is because I want to use a sampler that can only address 16gb of RAM, but I want to load even more instruments. I tried to use jBridge, but it doesn't work. I'm note sure if this is possible at all, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
