Through out a song how do you guys keep the flow from dying? Is it by using rhythmic percussion even in breakdowns (like for melodic future bass/trap) or have one instrument consistently used through out the song (but with variations to keep it interesting say from drop to breakdowns)? What ways do you keep the energy instead of having a steep rollercoaster ride in a song? I feel like I'm lacking consistency because I want breakdowns to be differentiated from the drop but I also don't want it to appear random.
What are some ways you control the energy? Are there big dips to your songs for the sake of emotion? Or generally a gradual ramp?
