i've been trying to get better at production, mostly bass music (i've been trying to work on an electro/breakbeat track for quite some time). when i got up to a point where i would be working on a drop i stop dead in my tracks due to frustration. most of this frustration comes from my lack of sound design (i know enough to follow tutorials) and no tutorials i find have the sound i want even when i try to edit them. i know many people say to not be afraid to scrap ideas but constantly shelving work in progress tracks infuriates me and i feel like i ran straight into a brick wall. what's the best way to overcome this?
