Alright people,
I've run out of ideas. I've used a stereo imager to bring everything above 16k to pretty much mono. I've lessened compression. I've left plenty of headroom before mastering. I also am an amateur and not the best mixer but I've definitely done a lot of research and a considerable amount of practice. But no matter what I do SoundCloud will always ruin my song. It just sounds watery and shitty.
So what methods have you all found successful for preserving your song through the horrendous compression that is the SoundCloud upload?
Thanks and sorry.
