I'm in a phase where I put a shitton of work into making things sound good, instead of making a track. I remember years back when I could pump out tracks with funnier arrangements and thought-out structures while sacrificing in quality.
I wish I could do it again, just go with the flow and put out crap that is arranged in a creative manner. Right now it is EQ after EQ and compressor after compressor, trying to get something that sounds good on hifi systems around the globe.
Anyone else in the same boat? How to get over this and get back to having fun while producing?
