Does anyone want to discuss the sound design in Dr. Ozi's stuff? Specifically the track "Youth in Asia".
Ive been trying to make those growl sounds (like the first sound in the drop). Im not sure how to describe the sound. The best i can say is that its very vowel (much womp). But the words to describe the texture of the sound just don't come to my mind. Its seems square like.
In serum ive been playing with FM and comb filter combos. Ive been trying out the flange filters too. Nothing noteworthy so far tho.
Also, those quick moving sounds (the answer part) seem similar in tone so maybe they are like the growl patch but with quicker lfos.
Any thoughts? That song is sick.
