Tbh, I'm perfectly satisfied with the built in FX so I don't need (although I'd want all things Valhalla, FabFilter and SoundToys) them.
I love U-He Diva for the sounds I can make with it but I'm looking at options.
- Serum
- U-he Zebra, Repro-5 (when it comes out), Ace, Hive or Bazille
- KV331
- Massive
- Z3ta+
- Icarus
- ElectraX
- Harmor
- Avenger
- Spire
I personally prefer to use presets and tweak the shit out of them rather than start off from nothing. And I like the sound of older/warmer synths than the sterile/clean stuff.
So I'm thinking maybe it's better to get a synth that has a lot of presets you can buy/that come with.
I know U-he is announcing Repro-5 and and update to Zebra soon which will likely include "warm"-sounding filters a la Diva, is there any Serum wavetable/filter packs you can buy that does that gives it a less clean sound?
What would you recommend? I'm probably holding off on buying the komplete kontrol to have some more money to spend on VSTs
