So I was reading some magazine I bought at an airport. It's called "100 Guitar Heroes". There's a section with Matt Bellamy of Muse. He details "a computer programme or something" that he says is banks and banks of synths within a computer generator where you can put any sound in. He says you can put in like a voice or guitar and it will recreate that sound using all its internal synths. Then he says "once it's done that you can decipher it and break it down to anything you want. You can put in the sound of a car engine, and then the sound of a guitar, and then moron them together to create an exact middle sound." He claims its called "Windows 4.3" but i've looked it up and I can't find it. The effect can be found in the opening riff on the song Stockholm Syndrome from the album Absolution. Thanks in advance.
