I've got this one synth (well, actually it's a piano, but it sounds like a snyth now) that is playing rather big chords over my track and it has a lot of reverb on it.
I want it to stay that way, so it creats a nice ambient in the back, while the drums (kick, snare, hats etc.) play loud in the front, but it kinda gets lost in the mix. I've layered 3 tracks of this synth, with detune, delay, saturation etc. Doesn't really help in my situation. I want these chords to sound huge, but at the same time dominate the background...
Any ideas on how can I achieve this nice, huge ambient atmosphere?
