Starting on a new project, see if I can change genres and try to make dubstep. Going through old files I had from years ago. Starting with the keyboard samples. Got these 1160 old keyboard and synth samples, wav files back in the late 90's. So much shit here can be rushed to proceed to the next step all the time.
Played all these files in a winamp playlist. Had a little one spot mouse clicking program click next after 1 second. A lot of these wav files are longer than the 1 second you hear. Then checked that output file in RX spectrogram view while video screenshot recording. 19 minutes. A lot of shit here, 1 second of 1160 old keyboard and synth samples, wav files. Here's that video:

The playlist is 30k characters, could paste it in here but too much text. Here's a text file of the 1160 wav files playlist. Short file names back then but some might ring a bell of what keyboard it was.

At least with the clips being exactly 1 second each, you may get an idea of what file it was from where it was in the video. If it's halfway, it'd be half of 1160. At least it's something to be able to track down what the file was from the video. I could have did another little screenshot video of the playlist sequence as it went along. Then add that to the other video but I don't have time. I gotta my work on my shit instead of this eh. haha. But thought you guys might be interested in some of these samples. Interesting synth noises. Can't be so rushed all the time about everything.
If any of these samples from the video interest you, here's the 1160 wavs in a zip:

Old files from the late 90's though. A lot of them were mono. In the video, I had stereo'd the whole output with Ozone. The pressing play to the next file every second may have caused clicks by cutting off waveforms in the middle of things, so ran vinyl declick on the output file. Sounds "fair" but it may mess some things up, but better than short digital clicks. So if something's odd, the wav files might not be like what you hear in the RX video.
Small zip file size though considering there's 1000 short wav files, it's only 267 MB. So you're probably going to have some cleaning up to do of these files. However, not too many if any sound like they're lousy 8 bit. You don't hear too much of that noise which was common back then.
Thinking about what I'll do with these files here. Could try to make melody instruments from pitch shifting a very select few of these. Maybe use the odd quick bits for things. Who knows.
After this got a super shitload of drum wav samples from back then. I gotta relax and be patient and deal with this synth and keyboard stuff first though.
I have a whole other folder with a bunch of sf2 melody instrument soundfont files. That probably has quite a few of these synths but the full instrument version. Not sure how much time I want to waste with these limited wav files. Trying to custom make instruments from these short range wavs.
The odd synthesizer samples though, probably wouldn't have some sf2 instruments of them.. So I don't know, gotta think about dealing with all these files. Maybe check out the video and go, oh that was an interesting noise. Then check the wav file and think.. ok do I make an sf2 instrument with this.
Takes time eh.. Then you've got a fucking thousand files.. I might just use the quicker synth odd bits and use those straight up as quick bits of fast changing noises. You know how they throw that shit in tracks these days. Then I don't have to bother making whole melody instruments with pitch shifting a bunch of files and make sure they're in the same key as piano.
Thought I'd post this over here. You guys might be able to play around with this stuff, even though it's old. lol. Everybody's so rushed these days, back then they had a little more patience. So who knows, you might not find this type of shit these days. Nobody's got time for it. Too many things to click with the bit of spare time per day. I almost just skipped right over it all and thought, I don't have time for all this. But.. have to be patient and relax, and look into what I'll do with this. For now, gotta go have a nap. haha. Too many files to deal with. haha.
