Hey everyone, I've always been a fan of edm, dance, trance, disco funk, and remixes, and now want to start creating my own pieces. To start myself off, I feel like it would be best for me to practice by remixing some of my favorite songs, or songs that I think are good but can be a little more palatable to my ear. Once I've made some ground and practiced remixing then I'll move onto creating beats of my own.
The only program I've ever used was Ableton Live 9 Suite, but that was in a classroom, in high school... So I'm looking for a more budget friendly (or free) program. I have the $99 Akai mini keyboard drum pad on the way, and I am downloading LMMS right now which looked promising.
Is LMMS any good?
Is there any other program you all would recommend for a beginner who's on a budget?
