I'm an intermediate. My sound design isn't great, my composition is lacking and I have no musical theory, but every now and then things fall into place and I make something OK.
I've realized I'm pretty much in a mental state of a "is this good enough yet" when I think I should be enjoying the entire process of production. This leads to mad frustration. I'm too focused on the end goal.
I've got a fair bit of discipline, and want to know what exercises and sort of things should I do to just become better at everything. Seamless has great tutorials but I never really feel like I'm getting 'better' by following his how to bass series.
I'm in it for the long run. Where do I run now?
