So the VX49 has no way of assigning knobs as relative rather than absolute as far as i know, but also isn't receiving MIDI information from Ableton.
For example, I turn a dry/wet knob from 0 to 127 on one track. Then I go to my second track and the dry/wet is set to 30. Moving the knob does not move it from 30 but instead jumps to the previous value - 127.
This is incredibly frustrating and I don't even use the knobs because I hate when it jumps to the last value used rather than mapping to the current values of the device the control surface is assigned to.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Thank you so much.
EDIT: Setting the Takeover mode in Ableton Live to Value Scaling has helped immensely. It's not perfect, and other solutions are appreciated, but this made things so much better.
