Hey guys, so mixing is really hard. Let's just talk about sidechaining, and how much you use, where to plant them, and how hard those suckers suck. The only rule of this thread is no saying "whatever sounds good" because in that case, we'd all be fucking 110% professional mixers by now making hella dough in Nashville. It'd be cool if we could make this thread all encompassing so in the future people can refer back to this thead. I haven't found a good one like this yet.. so let's do it up
****808 / sub bass
-Kick sidechain of course
-Snare sidechain? Yes, no?
****Instrument: Lead Synths/Bass Synth Bus
-HH sidechain? -Kick sidechain for sure
-Snare sidechain for sure (just enough to cut with no pumping)
****Vox
-Kick sidechain?
-Snare sidechain?
****Ambient pads
-Kick sidechain?
-Snare Sidechain?
-HH sidechain?
