I just don't see how it's possible for unsigned producers to get that "professional" sound that the pros have in part because of the resources available to professional producers (professional mixing engineers, masterers, professional studios, etc.)
Do A&R people take this into account when scouting for potential signees? Or do I have to have extremely solid mixing/mastering skills to even have a chance at getting a record signed?
