Hey everybody, I have an (I think new but probably not) idea for a video series where I do ear training online. I think it might be a good way for people to learn ear training by following along, especially for people who might have a hard time motivating themselves to consistently practice. It might also be a good way to teach good practice behavior. I also think the streaming-like nature of the videos should allow me to create tons of content which could serve as practice material rather than just instructional material. I'm stealing the idea from the chess community, where people like John Bartholomew and Tal Baron solve chess tactics online.
I have some videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF1rJ87gJcnho_sNr0nHiLgKUlIEetbYG.
Currently I'm working at my own skill level, which might be a bit too advanced for teaching but might be a good resource for more advanced musicians. I want to do more basic ear training too, but I'm not sure of a good target audience, so the current series is based on my personal improvement.
I was looking for feedback, and also suggestions for 1) A good target audience for more basic stuff, 2) it would be ideal for me to transcribe music by ear, but I don't want to run into copyright issues. Thoughts? 3) Any other feedback.
Thank you!
