I know it's not an ideal platform to make music on. I'm backpacking for 5 months and left my laptop at home; big mistake, I seriously underestimated how inspired/motivated to write music I would get. Does anyone know of something functional enough to get ideas down that I can refine in ableton when I get back home? I've got GarageBand for iOS but it's bothering me because as far as I can tell you can't actually program specific MIDI patterns - the "smart instruments" effectively create loops for you. Any insight is appreciated!
