So I am a newbie, I'm learning, and taking in a lot of new stuff in a short amount of time. I wen't through all of the Newbie FAQ to try and find the answer I was looking for but I couldn't. So here we gooo. While browsing through synth presets on my DAW Logic Pro X. I noticed That some synth presets don't allow you to play multiple notes all at once to produce a chord. Instead only one note will play and if you press one note on top of another, the sound will swing into the other note. Other presets allow multiple notes to be played together, and this is the type of sound that I'd prefer. But there are a lot of presets with sounds that I like, but I want to try to produce chords with them, not just one note. So I guess what am I looking for in the synthesizer to change this? I guess I also have a second part to this question, but lets say for example, Im using a preset where the sound swings from note to note imagine I'm play notes A and then B but not giving them time in between to "Breathe" they will swing in between notes, but then overtime the volume of the sound will fade away, how do I stop it from fading? Is it as simple as turning the Decay knob? Thanks for any help, Im learning, and I guess this is all stuff on synthesis vs EDM Production in general, but I figured you guys would be a good place to get some help. Cheers!
